The teacher is a very trustworthy and responsible person. Even though her eyes were uncomfortable, she still kept the commitment to teach the class as scheduled. I hope the teacher’s eyes will recover quickly. 선생님 건강하세요. 감사합니다.

Ellie always corrects my pronunciation, which I really need. She is very organized, and in every single class I learn a lot. I’m getting better and better with my speaking, grammar, and vocabulary. I really enjoy in the class with her.

#39 – In today’s class, we practiced 아/어야 돼요/해요 and worked through additional exercises in the workbook. Shannon also shared insights into Korean 하숙 culture. She talked about the types of housing Korean college students commonly live in and how shared housing works—so interesting! 今天Shannon分享韓國大學生常住的房型,還有合宿的方式(好有趣!),然後也分享說通常搬家完會請朋友吃炸醬麵的文化,能夠學到不同的文化真的好棒!

Yeonseo is a energizing teacher, I’ve had the incredible experience of working with a teacher who doesn’t just teach-she transforms the way you learn looking at custom tailored materials to help achieve your learning goals. Her lessons are not only supportive and motivating, they’re designed around your individual goals and learning style. It’s like having a personal tutor guide to help learning language fast. You walk away not just knowing more, but actually wanting to learn more. That kind of motivation is rare-and powerful from Yeonseo. Highly recommended teacher to aid you in exploring Korean culture and its language !!

Thank you for today’s lesson! 😊 I learned a lot of useful vocabulary about time and dates, such as 언제, 월, 일, 평일, 주말, 오전, 오후, and the questions 며칠이에요? and 무슨 요일이에요?. We also practiced past-tense verbs like 먹었어요, 썼어요, 만났어요, 전화했어요, and 공부를 했어요, along with expressions like 어때요? and 어땠어요?. I also reviewed weather expressions such as 비가 와요 and 날씨가 흐려요. The grammar (었/았, 에) was very helpful, and I’m feeling more confident using past tense in sentences. I’ll review everything again and read aloud to practice pronunciation. See you in the next class! ☺️📚

I have a bad habit of reverting to English when I don’t know something instead of trying to say it in Korean, but she pushes me to explain stuff in Korean and I feel like I’m slowly making progress.

#9 – It’s been a while since I had a class with Ivy again. We caught up on our daily lives, learned new grammar and expressions, and talked about our MBTI types and how we feel about the new group. I hope I can talk about these things in Korean someday. 很久沒看到可愛的Ivy了,今天學到很多有趣的生活韓文,希望能夠每次進步一點點,期待能夠開口說出流利的韓文的那一天~

During this session, we worked on weather vocabulary and practiced key grammar points. The lesson was really well-balanced and well-structured, and I also received homework afterwards, which is perfect to review everything before the next class. Thank you!

Today, I had a conversation with Teacher Jay. I asked him questions about how to communicate politely with a Korean officer if I lost my luggage, how to take the bus from the airport to Myeong-dong, and how to ask a stranger for directions. I learned a lot about the use of passive and connecting sentences. The lesson was very interesting.Thank you Teacher Jay

Despite the technical difficulties, we had a great class practicing free talking and future tense. I will need to know and remember vocabularies as well as explore different sentence structures to be able to talk more!

I’ve been taking Yeoni's classes for about two months, and even though every lesson feels relaxed and pressure-free, I’ve learned so much. She adjusts the pace to my level and explains everything patiently. I especially love the conversation practice — I can review grammar, learn new vocabulary, and improve my listening and real communication at the same time. Yeoni 선생님🫶🏻🤍

Today was my tenth lesson. I learned more vocabulary, and we also covered additional sentence structures. As the lessons progress, there is more to absorb and remember. My teacher is very understanding and encouraging, especially since learning a new language is not easy—particularly when I’m trying to remember how each word is written and memorize them by heart. 今天是我的第十堂课,我学到了更多的词汇,也接触了更多新的句型。随着课程不断推进,需要吸收和记住的内容也越来越多。 老师非常体谅我的学习过程,也一直给予我鼓励。毕竟学习一门新语言本来就不容易,尤其是还要记住每个单词的写法,并且靠记忆去熟记它们。

Another awesome class as always! I struggle with reading and vocabulary, but Sean is always so patient with me and it makes learning feel way less overwhelming. The grammar (-어 보다, 에게서, 한테서) was a bit easier to undrrstand this class, time will tell if it sticks long term. I really appreciate how calm and encouraging he always is. It helps me so much.

It am glad you had a nice time at your brother's wedding. We talked about where I live in the UK, and that at the moment, the weather is very stormy and rainy. Countesthorpe floods when it rains and all 4 roads are blocked. We were using vocabulary related to weather. We also talked about movies we have watched, using key vocabulary relating to the cinema. Watching a movie in the UK is very expensive! I will do my best with the homework, I promise. Enjoy the camping and I hope it is not too cold. Happy Birthday for Saturday :))

Angie is a very good Korean teacher, and I recommend her. Angie teaches from a course guide, as well as using internet resources to supplement the learning. Class begins with a review of my diary and course guide homework, then Angie teaches new content. Angie is patient with my pronunciation, and models the pronunciation for me. Angie is a very good teacher and makes class enjoyable.

Q3. How do I choose my Korean tutor?

If you have a clear idea of your criteria for choosing a tutor - such as any specific learning objectives, target cost for tutoring, etc. - you can use the search function to quickly find a tutor who suits your needs, and select “book trial” to set up your first Korean online lesson.

If you don't have time to find a tutor or aren't sure where to start, we can help with recommendations. Try using our tutor recommendation tool here, which will provide you with tutor matches according to your selected needs.
Q4. What's the right learning environment for me? Should I choose a Korean tutor who is a native speaker?

One of the best ways to learn Korean is to immerse yourself in an environment where you try to use only Korean.

However, if you do not currently have a solid base in spelling and/or vocabulary, we recommend you choose a bilingual tutor who speaks your target language and your native language, as you will likely have a better learning experience during your one-on-one private tutoring.

If you have a good range of vocabulary but lack the opportunity to practice, then we recommend you choose a native Korean tutor.

You can pay with PayPal or credit card (American Express, Mastercard, or Visa). For certain international markets (e.g. Taiwan), we also accept local methods of payment, such as payment via ATM or convenience store.
Q8. How many Korean lessons should I purchase?

If you have a short term goal, we recommend you purchase enough lessons that you can take classes consistently within your timeframe. If you need significant improvement to reach your goal, we recommend you an adequate number of lessons, and get into the habit of regular weekly learning! The more you put in, the more you get out of it!
