Mekki is excellent in picking up all my bad habits and guide me in the right direction. I have taken lessons in various musical instruments with various teachers. She is definitely one of the best !

We both had a long break in which I didn't practise at all but things rapidly improved today. I enjoyed the lesson and realised how much i missed Miss Mekki's tuition.

More great suggestions on hand positions. Exercise the left hand fingers to strengthen and lengthen in order to reach key positioning for particular notes. It's not simply playing a piece that's important. Learning techniques to be able to play better and correctly is of utmost importance. Great lesson as usual.

I was nervous about getting back into the Erhu after years away, but Winnie has made it incredibly enjoyable. She tailored the classes to meet my goal. She's attentive, provides clear feedback, and celebrates every bit of progress. In just a few classes, I'm already playing several pop songs – that's way faster than I expected! I like the lesson showing the clear diagram of fingering position which drives me to learn the string instrument
Teacher is very patient to even provide video for after-class practicing, making sure my every note is in pitch when I practice on my own.👍

Q4. What's the right learning environment for me? Should I choose a Erhu tutor who is a native speaker?
One of the best ways to learn Erhu is to immerse yourself in an environment where you try to use only Erhu.
However, if you do not currently have a solid base in spelling and/or vocabulary, we recommend you choose a bilingual tutor who speaks your target language and your native language, as you will likely have a better learning experience during your one-on-one private tutoring.
